Tall Tales Charters is an Alaskan family owned and operated business that has been providing our clients with memorable trips on Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet since 1990. This area of Alaska is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. While fishing you can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of a land where mountains touch the sea, otters and puffins play, and the majestic whales are masters of their domain.
Our boat, the M/V IRISH MIST, is a 34' Northwind that was  specifically built for chartering. The "Mist" is U.S. Coast Guard inspected, certified to carry eight passengers in addition to her crew, and exceeds the U. S. Coast Guard five star rating. For your safety, convenience, and comfort, she is fully equipped with all safety and life saving equipment required by the Coast Guard in addition to the latest in electronic equipment. For your comfort the "Mist" has seating and a head (bathroom) in her heated cabin. Her fishing deck, the best in the fleet, is 12' X 16', comfortably fishing eight with ample on-deck seating for both fishing and sightseeing.
 Your guides, Chuck Collins, is owner/operator of the M/V IRISH MIST. He is U.S. Coast Guard licensed and has been fishing the waters of Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay since 1980. Jon Collins is U.S. Coast Guard licensed and has been fishing these waters his entire life.
While on board, you will receive as much or as little help with your fishing as you desire from your experienced crew; your hook will always be baited and  ready to fish when handed to you.We utilize only top quality tackle and are introducing lighttackle for those who want an added thrill.
