Experienced Crew. This is a family business which Chuck and Joanne started in 1990 and over the years has included son, grandson, and granddaughter. Your skipper will either be Chuck who has fished these waters since 1980 or Jon who has fished this boat his entire life and worked his way from assistant deckhand to deckhand and now up to skipper. Joanne still runs the office and, in addition to making your reservations, will be happy to recommend local activities and places of interest for the days you are not fishing.
NO unrealistic promises Fishing in the Cook Inlet region is one of the most consistent fisheries anywhere. While halibut reach 300+ pounds our average halibut is 20-35 pounds (about a 3 foot fish). You will more than likely catch the average sized fish... but you never know, that barn door halibut could wind up on your hook, just like it has for many of our other clients. 98% of our clients catch halibut with 95% keeping their limit of two.
Top quality gear. We utilize only top quality tackle, Avet two-speed reels on custom rods for halibut; Penn and Shimano lever drag reels on Shimano rods for salmon.
